Here is more information on the following topics: Skin Repair & The Biology of Wound HealingAnyone who remembers his childhood scrapes has probably heard many times “Don't pick that scab, you'll just make it worse!”. Wound Healing When you remove a scab, you are also removing some of the newly regenerated tissues growing underneath, thereby interfering with the healing process. What is Wound Healing? A tissue injury via an incision is generally followed by bleeding. The cascade of vasoconstriction and coagulation begins with clotted blood immediately impregnating the wound, leading to hemostasis, and after dehydration, a scab forms. An influx of inflammatory cells follows, with the release of cellular substances and mediators. Angiogenesis (growth of blood vessels) and re-epithelization occurs and the deposition of new cellular and extracellular components ensues. The Wound Healing Process in detail. Wound healing is a complex and dynamic process of restoration of skin cell structures and tissue layers. The process of wound healing is composed of various steps that lead to the development of scar tissue in replacement of tissue that has been injured. The human adult wound healing process can be divided into 3 great distinct phases: The inflammatory phase occurs immediately following the injury and lasts approximately 6 days. The fibroblastic phase occurs at the termination of the inflammatory phase and can last up to 4 weeks. Scar maturation begins at the fourth week and can last for years. These three phases include various processes: chemotaxis (attraction of cells by chemical discharge), phagocytosis, neocollagenesis, collagen degradation, and collagen remodeling. In addition, angiogenesis (new cappilaries), epithelization, and the production of new glycosaminoglycans (GAGs) and proteoglycans are vital to the wound healing milieu. The culmination of these biological processes results in the replacement of normal skin structures with fibroblastic mediated scar tissue. This process can produce an exuberance of fibrous protein proliferation with a resultant hypertrophic scar, which by definition is confined to the wound site. Further exuberance can result in keloid formation where scar production extends beyond the area of the original insult. Conversely, insufficient healing can result in atrophic scar formation like in stretch marks. How to enhance the Wound Healing Process? This natural skin renewal substance is a fluid produced by snails of the species Helix Aspersa Müller. The very same they use to quickly regenerate their own shell and skin when damaged. The effectiveness of the cream we make with this substance, BIOSKINCARE™, is due to a deep penetrating into the middle layer of the skin (the dermis), of it's biological ingredient. A complex compound of powerful biological molecular structures: proteoglycans, glycosaminoglycans, enzymes, copper peptides, antimocrobial peptides and oligoelements (Cu, Zn, Ca, Fe some of which act as coenzymes). Copper & Zinc as trace elements play an important role in the cure of acne lesions and in wound healing. These molecules and elelments act as biological activators of both the elimination of dead and damaged skin cells and the renewal of healthy cells. And also destroy opportunistic micro-organisms that thrive in wounds, while the at the same time rebuilding the web of blood vessels that increase oxygenation and nutrition into the newly formed healthy cells. What Do Customers Say?
Suggestions & Brief Guideline: Nourish, Moisturize, Protect, Repair and Renew Your Skin with BIOSKINCARE CREAM A deeply moisturizing natural skin care cream that triggers the regeneration of damaged cells while preventing and removing scars, keratosis, psoriasis scales and all types of skin blemishes. It also nourishes and replenishes the lipid barrier of the skin. This skincare cream diminishes imperfections and achieves silky soft skin with a routine skin care regimen. It is best for facial skin that is in part oily and in parts dry; besides relieving dry skin. It is also excellent after radiotherapy, chemotherapy, glycolic acid or chemical peels and microdermabrasion. BIO BODY CREAM for body scars and the prevention and removal of new stretch marks. It is not recommended for facial application because it contains a higher content of our biological active ingredient, Helix Aspersa Muller Glycoconjugates than do BIOSKINCARE or BIOSKINCLEAR. This difference results in a thicker cream that leaves behind a thin protective film on the applied area.
BIOSKINEXFOL home microdermabrasion cream removes old and hypertrophic scars left behind by an accident or surgery; old, rough or ice-pick acne scars; or old stretch marks; and resurfaces dull, worn out & thick skin.
